All in a week...

Revival in Belfast conference...

James, Nora, Abbie and Brian's graduation... we are so so proud of you!!!

A very heartfelt thank you to each one who has prayed for us during this week of incredible highs and deep lows. I want you to know that the Lord is working in an amazing way among us. Many are turning to Him. We can't keep up with the overwhelming responses to the conference. In celebration, and in adversity, doors have been opened for the words of life to be proclaimed. Every graduating student, and many others, have heard the good news of Jesus Christ. Even the school board is reaching out to ask for help from our churches in this tragedy, because they are witnessing the reality of God's power among us.

"With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies." Ps. 60:12

pressing in...

Dear friends,

Thank you so much for the wonderful outpouring of prayer.

I want to let you know what the Lord is doing here among us. Today, my brother-in-law, a Presbyterian pastor, will have the funeral of the girl who was killed in the accident. Rinda's daughter, Abbie, will pray at this service. It will be packed with High school students. Please pray that the Lord will move mightily among them. Tonight there will be a Baccalaureate service and Rinda's husband (also a Presbyterian minister) has been asked to speak to the students - Abbie has been asked to pray there as well. Who would have thought that this would happen?

I want to share something with you...

Three weeks ago, around prom party time, Rinda and I had an intense prayer session for the High school students. We felt such a heaviness for them because their lives are centred around weekend parties with a lot of drinking and drugs. Graduation time is generally one party after another. We felt a brokenness for them because their lives are empty - they are lost - they have no purpose - no vision - no idea of what God could accomplish in their lives through Jesus Christ. We were crying out to the Lord for them and then Rinda prayed - "Please let every one of them hear the gospel before they graduate. Let them have a chance to hear the truth and make a choice."

Can you see what is happening? The Lord is moving - these children will not only hear the message once - but twice - in a setting where their hearts will be broken, tender, and wide open to hear the words of life. Please pray. These are crucial days - a kairos time.

We had a prayer meeting last night - just a spontaneous gathering - some of our teenagers were there and it was humbling to be there and witness their tears and prayers. 14 - 18 yr olds leading us - and we sense that is right - that they are leading the way to reach their peers for Jesus Christ.

We are praying that in no way will the enemy have any victory through this tragedy. We sense that he has gone too far - and that God is turning the tables over on him - that the plans he intended for evil, God will use for His glory and the extension of His kingdom. We have been praying for many years that the Lord would raise up an army of teenagers - children and youth who are totally committed to Jesus Christ and His kingdom.

I have many stories from the weekend - stories of those who passed from death to life - prodigals who came home - broken-hearted who were healed. I will be sharing them with you as things settle (along with some pictures).

We have been praying for revival for a long time. Many have felt a deep connection to this revival - and have sensed that God is planning to release a similar move here. We are praying for a mighty wave of God to wash over this little
Island and go far beyond. I'm wondering if we are standing in the ripples of that water right now.

Thank you so much for standing with us in prayer.

PS - if you have a little time and would like to hear the story of the
Hebrides Revival told by the islanders themselves download this audio file. The Scottish brogues are thick but if you listen carefully you will hear an incredible story of the Lord's power.

prayer request

May I please ask for your prayer support. We have had an incredible weekend (picture and details coming soon). Many, young people in particular, responded to the call of God.

However there has been backlash from the enemy - one of our young people was in a tragic accident early Sunday morning. He is in serious but stable condition. He suffered a crushed pelvis, lacerated ear, punctured lungs, ruptured spleen and pancreas and will be kept unconscious on a ventilator for 2 weeks as his body begins a long recovery process. More tragically, his girlfriend, who is from a nearby community, died in the accident.

This boy is the son of Cheryl, a dear friend who passed away from cancer in Feb. Her deepest prayer was for her children - that both boys would love the Lord with all their hearts.

Although we are heartbroken with this accident, it is not surprising to us that the enemy would seek to undo the good the Lord is doing.

he can't - his power is limited.

yet we are called to pray and seek the face of the Lord.

Please join us as you feel led.

with love in Him
